Whilst we have 5 joint priorities for Churcham and Ashleworth C of E Primary. We also have identified specific priorities for each school.

Priority 1

Ensure there is sufficient challenge for ALL learners with maths and opportunities for more able learners to work at greater depth

Priority 2

Use a range of Talk for Writing (TfW) strategies to develop pupil understanding of text features and as a tool to support the writing process

Priority 3

To increase the number of children achieving the expected standard in writing at the end of EYFS

Priority 4

To develop reading comprehension skills using VIPERS

Priority 5

To improve pupil knowledge, understanding and application of coding skills (ICT)

Ashleworth – To accelerate the acquisition and application of phonics for reading and writing

To develop pupils ability to reflect upon the daily act of worship and how it impacts upon daily life

Churcham – To continue to raise rates of attendance for targeted groups of pupils
