We have a dedicated and committed core team of teaching staff. Staff are supported by external specialist teachers in various fields depending on the topic the children are learning.

Meet our staff

Michelle Kelly – Headteacher
I have been Headteacher, of Ashleworth, since 2013. I really enjoy being part of this wonderful school family. I have been teaching for a very long time but still enjoy learning new things with the children. They usually show me how all the technology works. My favourite lesson has to be English. When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading and going to the theatre. I also enjoy travelling to new and exciting places.

Rosalind Watkins - Administrator

I started as Ashleworth’ s Receptionist/ Administrator on 27th November 23 . What a lovely school to be a part of. I have lovely colleagues and the children are wonderful and engaging. In my spare time I help my husband continue improving our bungalow, the kitchen being the current task in hand. I also like swimming and walking and furnishing my dolls house.

Zoe Davenport - Class 1 Teacher (YR/KS1)

I am new to the school but I have lots of experience in a range of different schools working with EYFS and KS1 children. In my spare time I love to go on long walks with my dogs. In the school holidays I spend time onboard cruise ships working in the kids’ clubs, where I can explore the world while building holiday happiness for children and their families.

Autumn Barnes - Class 1 Teacher (YR/KS1)

I have enjoyed teaching in class 1 since the start of 2020 and I have now returned to class 1 as a part-time teacher since having my baby. In my spare time I enjoy family days out and reading.

Josma Pinto - Class 2 Teacher

I am KS2 teacher at Ashleworth Primary School (years 3-6). Although I am new to the school, I've got to know all the staff and children through working at Churcham Primary School last year. I love teaching all subjects but my favourite subjects to teach are Maths and RE. Outside of school, I love getting involved in a local church ministry and spending time with my husband and my boys.

Richelle Daniels – SENCO

I started my journey as a class teacher teaching Reception and Key Stage Oe before moving into my current role as SENCo. I enjoy my SENCo role as I get the opportunity to work with children across the school and provide individual support to the children and parents. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends.

Elaine Huggins – Teaching Assistant
I work in Class 2 and support and help the teachers and children in Y3-6. I also welcome children in Before School Club and help serve the lunches.I love to spend time in my garden growing vegetables and flowers. You’ll often find me pottering around my greenhouse! I enjoy walking and cycling and for the last two years have been involved in volunteering for the Toad Patrol. I help make sure the toads get across the road safely so they can continue their journey to their pond.

Jayne Malone – 1:1 Teaching Assistant
My role is one to one in Class 2. I am a rugby fan and enjoy watching my sons and my grandson playing rugby at the weekend. I also enjoy travelling the country in my motorhome with my husband.

Pippa Hart - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

I started at Ashleworth in Sept 2023 as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant. I am thoroughly enjoying my work here amongst a very friendly fun enjoyable school. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband and three children. I enjoy walking and horse riding.

Dan Brain – PE Teacher
I am Ashleworth's PE teacher. I have been teaching here since 2022 and I have loved every minute here. In my spare time I play football, cricket and golf. But I love any sports. The gym is one of my main hobbies throughout the week. I enjoy socialising with my friends and going out especially for a Nandos. I love summer with the evenings light till late, and the temperatures being warm for when I finish teaching.
